I wasn’t born a politician, and I’ve never claimed to be one. Like many of you, I grew up with a deep, abiding respect for the culture, history, and unique spirit of Texas. We are a people forged by resilience and a fundamental belief in liberty. But as the years went on, it became increasingly clear to me that the values we hold dear in Texas were fundamentally at odds with the bloated, overreaching bureaucracy in Washington, D.C.
The realization that the relationship between Texas and the federal government was broken wasn’t a sudden epiphany. It was a slow, undeniable culmination of facts. We were watching our economy be drained, our borders mismanaged, and our fundamental rights chipped away by a federal apparatus that neither understood nor cared about the people of Texas. I realized that complaining about Washington wasn't enough. We needed a definitive, legal, and peaceful exit strategy.
For over two decades, I have dedicated my life to the cause of Texas independence. When we first began laying the groundwork for the Texas Nationalist Movement, the idea of secession was often dismissed as a fringe concept or a historical relic. We were laughed at by the political establishment and ignored by the mainstream media.
But I knew the political class was out of touch with the people on the ground. I spent years traveling the state, from the Panhandle to the Valley, sitting in living rooms, town halls, and local diners. I listened to Texans from all walks of life who felt the exact same way I did. We didn't just complain; we organized. We built a grassroots infrastructure, block by block, voter by voter, turning a marginalized concept into the mainstream political force it is today.
As the movement grew, the questions shifted from "Why should we leave?" to "How do we actually do this?" There was a massive gap in the public understanding of the political, economic, and legal realities of independence. To bridge that gap, I wrote TEXIT: Why and How Texas Will Leave the Union.
My goal was to cut through the fear-mongering and the misinformation. The book serves as the definitive blueprint for Texas sovereignty. It addresses the hard questions about currency, defense, trade, and the transition of power. It proves that not only is TEXIT legally and economically viable, but it is the most practical path forward to secure our freedom and prosperity.
Today, the TEXIT movement is no longer a whisper; it is a roar. We have grown into one of the largest and most influential pro-independence movements in the world. But the work is far from over.
As a thought leader, speaker, and strategist, my daily focus is on educating the public, advising policymakers, and leading this movement toward the ballot box. The right of self-determination is recognized internationally as a fundamental human right. It is time for Texas to exercise that right. We are not just fighting against an overreaching federal government; we are fighting for a future where Texans govern Texas.
I invite you to stand with us, to learn the facts, and to be a part of the generation that finally brings Texas home.
Whether you need a keynote speaker to challenge the status quo or strategic advising on the future of self-determination, let's connect.
